FAQ on VoicePing Settings and Why to Use Them
Boost Volume
Function: To increase the volume of your speaker.
Sometimes this will max out the capabilities of your speaker and cause messages to sound noisy.
Why would I ON this? :ON for Outdoor use.
Why would I OFF this?: OFF for Indoor use.
How to set:
In your VoicePing Favorite display.
Tap upper right corner icon for settings.
And choose settings.
Then tap the “Boost Volume”.
A tick will show when enabled.
Audio Source
Function: To select the source of Audio input as Android Phones have different Inputs. Usually Voice Communication or Voice Recognition works the best.
What should I choose for my device?
Usually Voice Communication works the best. But it depends on the device, you have to try one by one and see which one is the best output.
VoicePing might be crashed if the device is not compatible with the chosen option. Just restart VoicePing and try another Audio Source.
How to set:
In your VoicePing Favorite display.
Tap upper right corner icon for settings.
And choose settings.
Then tap “Audio Source” option.
There will be drop down list.
Choose one according to your device type.
Please be carefully, if you not sure please choose the default.
On- going Notifications
Function: To let you know all activity in your VoicePing.
Why would I ON this?:
For some device, due to some compatibility reason. You have to switch this option to ON. Otherwise you will not get any notification or messages sent to you. (need to try manually to see whether it’s work or not).
Xiaomi Phones need to ensure that this is switched on. If you use Task Killers etc, you will also want to keep this ON.
Why would I OFF this?:
(Recommended) For most devices, If you are able to get incoming messages even after leaving the phone idle for 30 minutes, you do not need to switch on "On-Going Notifications" and can leave it OFF.
How to set:
In your VoicePing Favorite display.
Tap upper right corner icon for settings.
And choose settings.
Then tap the “on going notification”.
A tick will show when enabled.
Boost Recorder
Function: To boost your microphone volume.
Why would I ON this?:
To make your partner or company group can hear your voice louder.
Why would I OFF this?:
If your voice is too loud to your partner or company group.
You can hear and test your your volume via talking to the "Testing" Favorite.
How to set:
In your VoicePing Favorite display.
Tap upper right corner icon for settings.
And choose settings.
Then tap the “Boost Recorder”.
It will ticked when enabled.
